Have you ever had trouble with your Microsoft software? Have you had some difficulty with using such software since you have installed it in your computer?

Well, you may have actually bought fake Microsoft software and that is not a good thing really. After all, you paid for the software for the same price as the original so you are surely not getting your money’s worth on the product you have.

Believe it or not, Microsoft’s office in the Philippines has reported that they have received quite a number of reports via their hotline and through email of people being sold fake Microsoft software. The company has also disclosed that they are also of knowledge of the distribution of counterfeit copies with counterfeit licenses. Little do consumers know that they are not original Microsoft products.

Microsoft Philippines is already on the move towards resolving this issue. They have already sent out a warning to the public regarding the fake Microsoft software copies. The company also has got law enforcement agencies working with them. In fact, Mae Rivera-Morena, the spokesperson for Microsoft Philippines, has disclosed that these counterfeit Microsoft products usually are copies of Microsoft Office and Windows Vista.

In a phone interview, Rivera-Morena shared, “We have received reports from customers about establishments that sell a mix of genuine and illegal copies.” She also told of an Internet café that had just bought a couple of Windows Vista software. However, upon trying to install and use the products, the Internet café has found out that they could not “validate 25 percent of its copies”.
