Bundled Operating System
Which Windows operating system do you prefer? Windows 95, 98, ME, 2000, XP, or Vista? Sad to say, once you purchase a new hardware (like laptops or branded PCs), operating system are already bundled with the product. It is not an option for you to select which operating system you wanted to be bundled with your new PC. If you want to replace your current operating system, you have to spend again to get what OS you want. How about the bundled OS packaged with the hardware?
Most of basic users rely on the bundled OS - because you pay for it. As Microsoft wanted to introduce their new product in local market, Windows Vista is bundled with laptops and desktop PCs. But for common Windows XP users (and older OS), they cannot adopt its new features and interface easily. They have to update all their applications to run under Windows Vista. But most of existing programs are not yet compatible with Vista. Do you think it’s worth to have by now?
Microsoft Windows Vista still on developing stage. It’s just like leaving all your old applications behind and start anew. Old printers, scanners, webcam, and other gadgets needs to find drivers again. Hoping this won’t take too long to get those drivers from the manufacturers.
Games and applications controls which operating system is the right for your needs. Productivity and performance are be based on the application and not with the operating system installed on your machine. But remember, the higher Windows operating system, the higher machine is recommended.
