Your Camera And You
You love photographs and you love taking pictures. However, there are times when you feel like your photographs just simply do not capture the scene right in front of you. How do you go about capturing a photograph that tells of a thousand stories?
One of the most important things that you should do is you should be familiar with the camera you are using. Just keep in mind that to take great pictures, you should consider your camera as your best friend. Get to know the capacity and capabilities of your camera and make sure that you are familiar with how your camera operates. The more you get to know about your camera, the easier it would be for you to produce a photograph that really tells something.
Also keep in mind that lighting is very important when it comes to taking photographs. Always be on the alert as to where the light is coming from. Experts suggest that if you are going to take photographs outdoors, the best times for you to do that would be early in the morning or sometime late in the afternoon. If you do try to take a photograph of a person outdoors, make sure that the light is somewhere on the side of your subject. Light from the background brings shadows to your subject while light in front of the subject makes your subject squint.
Applying the rule of thirds give your photograph a dramatic effect. Professional photographers most of the time practice this. To get a really good picture, they oftentimes make sure that the subject is not straight right smack in the center.
And lastly, always practice. The best way to learn how to take wonderful images would be to practice and practice more.
