Watermarking Your Images
So you have taken tons of photographs and quite a huge part of the group of images is really just amazing you want to share them with all other people online. However, what concerns you right now is the fact that with you putting your images online means that other people could just simply take your photograph and claim them as their own. Is there a way you could actually prevent that? If you would notice, professional photographers show off their images but putting watermarks on the image itself. A watermark is like the signature that an artist puts on canvas after he is done with his work. The watermark is going to be your digital signature.
To put a watermark, you would actually be needing a program which would allow you to put your chosen signature on the image you have. So the first thing to do would be to choose which program would help you put that watermark on your photograph. Most photo editing software allow users to create that watermark.
Of course, you also would need to decide what kind of watermark you would like to put on your image. Watermarks could be your name, could be the year you took the photograph, or it could also be a symbol. Sometimes, it could be your website so that people would be encouraged to visit your site.
You could have your watermark to be translucent or you may have it be quite visible. Experts suggest a 50% tint so that it would be visible but it would not mark the entire image.
