Sharing Your Photographs

January 4th, 2008 By: atomicgirl

Remember the days when you wanted to share your photographs with friends? You had to make sure that you had the photograph recopied so that you can send each one to your friends and family abroad. So it meant that if you wanted to share your photograph to 20 other people scattered around the country and around the globe, you had to make 20 copies of your photograph.

But those were the days and the digital age has already come. And today, to share your photographs, all you need to make sure is that your images are in digital form and that they are ready for uploading. Yes, uploading. See, there are various sites which allow you to share your photographs with friends and family.

One of the most popular sites is Flickr. This site can be considered as an online album where your friends can find your username and take a look at your photographs. Just upload your photographs, and there they are online, ready for viewing. One of the downsides of Flickr though is that if you have a free account, you are only allowed to upload 200 images.

Another site that allows you to share your digital photographs is Picasa. This site is owned by Google and you can even make slideshows here. The slideshows that you create can be posted on your website or blog.

Other sites where you can share your photography products include Zoomr, Photobucket, SharedLog.com, and SmugMug. Oh the joys of photography in the digital age!
