Why do we love fireworks? Well, I can say that I do love fireworks because of their color - and not because of the sounds that they emit. I love them because they look nice to look at but I would rather just watch them than personally light one.

The fact that fireworks come in many colors make it one of the most interesting subjects to take photos of. Try searching the Internet for photographs and images of fireworks and you would be given quite a display of results. It means that many people have tried to take images of these awesome wonders. And many have been successful enough to be proud of what they have taken. Others were in vain because they were not familiar with their cameras.

So how do you take a good image of fireworks lighting up the night sky?

Well, keep in mind that you would need to set your camera to long exposures so that you would be able to capture the design and the color that the firework has made. And to be able to get a good shot, you must have a good and solid tripod. If you do not have a tripod, then you must have really steady hands. If you don’t, then you just might miss that wonderful fireworks shot you were wishing to have.

Fireworks as your subject can make a pretty good image but if you try to add in other subjects like maybe that building at your right or a couple watching the whole display, then you might create a new set of images altogether.
