Mobile Phone Remote Backup: Available Soon
This is very interesting news for all users of mobile phones that hold a lot of data - from SMS to photos to MP3 files to video files and to everything else in between. Data stored in your mobile phone can be remotely stored through services offered by a company. We all know about the woes of a person whose mobile phone went crazy and just decided to delete all data stored in it. I, myself, used to own a smartphone but I found it a burden when the phone would suddenly go haywire and when I try to restart my gadget, it would then restart as if nothing had happened. But upon checking out my files and all my settings, I found out that it had just deleted some of my files when it acted up. Gah!
The flicker of hope for all users of such types of mobile phones comes in the form of this Filipino company. With Mobile Data Personal Solutions Inc. partnering with the US company Future Dial, all Filipino mobile phone users would be able to backup their mobile phone data and files remotely. That is good news for me (and for most mobile phone users).
The president of Mobile Data Personal Solutions Inc., Elmar Gomez, disclosed that there is going to be a pilot service launched in some areas in the Metro this month and next. He also shared, “We’re the licensee for the Asia Pacific region. We’re starting this in the Philippines.”
“Anything that’s on the phone can be stored,” Gomez explained further. He also mentioned that aside from storage of information, the company also offers services like transferring of data from one phone to another unit, restoration of corrupted or lost data, formatting of mobile phones, and printing of photos and images.
Sounds good enough for me.
