In England, there is this gadget which is known as the Mosquito. Yes, the Mosquito and this is no joke.

According to the report from EDP24, England’s Children’s Commissioner has decided that the sonic device known as the Mosquito should be banned. In fact, to be able to stress his point, the commissioner had joined campaigners for civil liberties and against the sonic gadget. The gadget is currently being used to scatter teenagers who may be onset to make some trouble.

How does this gadget work?

Well, the sonic gadget has been designed so much so that it only affects those who are 20 years old and below. The Mosquito sends out high frequencies which can be pretty uncomfortable for those who hear it. And since it is targeted towards teenagers who get in trouble every now and then, the Mosquito cannot be heard by those who have already stepped into their 20s. Experts who have studied the Mosquito have said that this is because once a person hits 20 years old, their hearing goes down.

One of the reasons why the Mosquito has become widespread in the country was because there have been quite a number of youths and gangs (usually below 20 years old) who make trouble in public areas. They are often dubbed as anti-social beings and so businesses and policemen do make use of the Mosquito.

Those who would like to ban the device did state that the Mosquito may be used with good faith however even people who are 20 years old and younger are affected by the noise.
