What Happens To Blog Writer Anonymous

August 11th, 2007 By: abi

Think it’s cute to hide in unrecognizable nicknames and rehashed character names?  Maybe, if you are still in high school.  Blogging has become a powerful tool that it has long passed the online journal definition.  Even top companies have blogs to keep their customers informed.  If you are serious about blogging and you want to attract more readers, you have to give credibility to your site by posting your real name.

The about us section is a staple among most corporate blogs.  On a weblog, it has a counterpart in your about me section.  You can’t imagine how many readers want to know more about the person responsible for the content they read.  Unless of course you are so famous that your name alone would suffice, it’s pertinent to scribble something about yourself and your level of authority on the topic you are writing about.  Honesty is required here so do not write things you are not or it will get worse than being writer anonymous.

However, don’t be afraid to write down your experiences even if you don’t have formal credentials to back up your writing.  Just describe your skills, informal trainings, enthusiasm on the field or whatsoever that made you write about those topics.  Readers will count on you for being honest with that.  You can also upload a photograph of you to give better impression that you’re sincere.  You build a connection between you and your readers and it’s something that helps them easily relate to you and your writings.

If you think you’ve written things you can be proud of, why not get a full credit?
