Placing Ads and How It Affects Readership

Making money through blogging is one popular subject that does not seem to run out of appeal to every newbie or professional blogger. You are always in constant lookout for tips on how to draw more traffic to your site. But if your means of making money zeroes in on advertisements, you should be aware of how to position your ads well to maximize income.

User clicks may have motivated you to keep your blog rolling but you should always make your readers your priority. You can very well generate many clicks by placing ads all over your site but your readers may get annoyed and stop visiting your site. Balance is still called for in ads placement, just like in everything else.

To get the most clicks without hurting your readership, you must first consider if you are allowing relevant ads. Advertisements related to your post can even help your readers discover more about the topic. Once you have checked on this, you can ask yourself if you just want income from the ads or you need it badly.

If you are not much after the income, you can always place your ads below your posts so it would not interrupt reading. You can also opt for a sidebar skyscraper or a footer leaderboard or place it anywhere just as long as it is discernible as an ad and you have not combined it with your post.

On the other hand, to maximize clicks, you can place your ads near the header or blend it with your content. Likewise, you can line up the link along your navigation bars. Ads on these spots have been proven to produce more clicks.

While these techniques worked for many, remember that each blog is one of a kind and no formula is the same for every site. Just in case, you can always experiment on your ad placements and see which one works for you.
