Being a one-man-band can be pretty lonely at times. Not to mention the risk of sounding monotonous. Reading your blog posts can leave you wondering if your readers get bored running on the same style over again. In fact, this happens to me and even if I change my writing approach, I can still sense a trace of me in those strings of words.

Bloggers suffering from this dilemma can take a break and prepare a spot for a guest blogger. This practice has been around for a long time and most bloggers can attest that it can create sensation in your site. Sure, you got loyal readers who stick to your writing but a worthy guest can stir interest and tackle points you could have been missing.  

If you have a relatively popular blog, finding a guest could be the least of your worries as many bloggers could have volunteered ahead. When you have a small blog or just on a startup, you may need to exert more effort to find one. The easiest way is to browse at your comments page and check readers who frequently leave noteworthy remarks. 

Not only your readers would benefit from this but also you and your guest blogger. You give your guest the opportunity to gain new readership and in turn, you treat yourself a holiday without missing a blog post and come back with fresh write-ups. Exchanging links will also be helpful for both of you to attract more traffic.

Having a guest blogger can bring a different groove to your blog but it won’t hurt to be on the other end and be a guest blogger yourself.
