Freshen Up Those Blogging Ideas

August 5th, 2007 By: abi

Think all topics are rehashed?  Most bloggers would agree but that does not discourage writers from adding up more pages on the world wide web. If you think your idea had been infinitely brushed up, get your creative juices flowing and you’ll have a piece worthy of readership.

Ideas seemingly irrelevant to your topic can be relevant after all. The trick here is to find a connection between these two.  The masters of this exercise have long been rewarded. Think of scientists and inventors. Writers are like them in a way that they bring fresh connections to the usual things. It’s quite a challenge but once you get used to doing this activity, you’ll never run out of topics again.

A simpler way to find something new about your topic is to check other sites that tackle it. Find comments and questions about the article.  What has the other writer failed to include in his post? You can build your idea from this. In fact, you don’t even need to look at other blogs. You can also search your archives. Some articles you wrote about may have interesting subtopics.

Changing style and form can significantly produce fresh write-ups too. If most writers discuss a topic in a heavy mode, you could write it in your breezy style. Different people search about the same topic and they usually stick to sites that provide content they need and writing style they enjoy.

While almost all topics are searchable now, your personal touch can always make it different from all other articles. Remember that your uniqueness as a person and as a writer would always be reflected in your works.

  1. […] Blogging regularly helps a lot. It would be best if you updated your blog regularly so as to be able to have a greater number of readers. However, keep in mind that updating your blog just does not mean that you blog for the sake of blogging. Make sure that your updates are filled with worthwhile content. […]
