However, keep in mind that updating your blog just does not mean that you blog for the sake of blogging. Make sure that your updates are filled with worthwhile content.

Submit your blog to blog submission sites. There are tons of those around and it would help get a lot of readers to your blog. The trick here is to have a good and crisp description of what your blog is all about. This would bring more readers to your blog who are also interested in the topic you are writing about.

There are top lists available on the Internet. These are list of blogs on various topics. Once you register your blog, you are given a widget that you need to place on your blog. When people click on that widget, your ranking on the blog top list goes up.

Comments also help. When you visit other blogs, make sure that you leave a comment. As a blogger, I love to read comments left by visitors. Other people love to read comments too and they visit the commenter’s site as a way of returning the favor of reading their blog.
