Blogger’s Block-Busters
It’s not everyday you’ll get to sit in front of your computer and type away. A blogger’s block, just like any kind of writer’s block will surely happen. If you got deadlines to beat, you could try some block-busters to set your mood to writing.
Check your environment first. Leaving your home-office could stimulate sleepy nerves inside you. If you have plenty of time, you could take a vacation, go to the mall or meet your friends. If you need to get back to writing however, you could at least take a walk especially in a nearby park, have a fresh cup of coffee or just watch TV or play games in your living room. A change of atmosphere can do wonders so determine the time you can be away from your computer and think of the best place to unwind.
If you can’t get off from your computer, you can surf other sites. Search for topics that stir your interest even if it’s not related to what you are writing about. You can also check your favorite bloggers’ sites. Reading can inspire you to write. It will motivate you to write an amazing piece like the one you just enjoyed reading but it will also introduce you to niches other writers’ failed to discuss.
Another technique many writers use is spontaneous writing. Go ahead and type whatever comes on your mind. Don’t edit. Just keep it flowing. You’ll be amazed that after this exercise, you have gotten yourself back to starting your first paragraph. If you don’t have a topic yet, you can even find a gem in your gibberish piece.
